Dr. Sareh Parangi, MD is committed to promoting equity and inclusion in the surgical profession. Dr. Parangi is actively involved in numerous professional organizations within surgery and academic medicine. She has long advocated for increasing the representation of talented individuals in leadership roles, particularly in surgical subspecialties. Drawing from her own experience as only the second woman to become a full Professor of Surgery at MGH, she recognizes the ongoing need to open more pathways for advancement. She believes that this is a pivotal time to implement broader structural improvements to ensure that the most capable and dedicated invididuals are drawn to the field and supported throughout their careers.
